We stayed here with my sister and her husband. The rooms were nice - except beware of bumping your head on the sloped ceilings. Bed was comfortable, but bedding unique in that it had 2 single comforters, but no top sheet, so it could get warm in summer. There was, however, a nice big fan in room. Bathroom offered a variety of travel size toiletries, but most of them were half used. That doesn't bother me as I am all for no waste, but some travelers might find it a bit strange. Tom was a bit gruff. For example, when my early riser brother in law turned on a light outside our rooms in the morning, in order to read without disturbing my sister, he was told to turn it off. Shoes are left at the door. Breakfast is very European, featuring boiled eggs, meat and cheese-nice and filling. There was a nice deck to relax on. Do not try to check in before 4:00. And payment is cash only. That was stated in confirmation email, but not everyone reads things in detail! We were mislead by deposit being accepted by credit card. Owners are German and apparently cater to a lot of German travelers.

As someone who had never stayed B&B before I wasn't sure what to expect, , When we arrived I was a bit put off because Tom watched me struggle up the stairs with my suitcase, and when we got inside he said "shoes off please" there were no tea or coffee making facilities in our room, but I had taken my travel kettle so on the way out to dinner I asked if we could have a couple of cups,he said of course!. When we returned he presented me with a tray with cups and a kettle, Next morning breakfast was wonderfully presented fresh fruit with yogurt, boiled egg, (done to perfection) toast, hams and chesse tea and coffee, Now Im not a great one for continental breakfast but this was exceptionally good, his wife Monika was lovely

Not hard to find if you look for the blue BnB sign on the road then turn onto the bumpy road. Follow until you see the driveway with a large wooden arch over it and turn left up the driveway. Nice log house with two guest rooms upstairs. Rooms are small and European style, that is, mattress with bedsheet cover and a quilt. Comfortable. Room would be difficult in the heat of summer as there is no A/C - only a fan. There is no guest seating area (other than outside) as the living room is closed off for the owners use. (on a rainy night, as it was for us, you simply retire to your room after returning from dinner - no radio or tv...sit in a camping style chair and read) Breakfast was European (salami, ham, cheese slice, hard boiled egg - coffee, tea or juice) I felt it was over priced ($120) for not having a place for guests to sit and relax and meet each other.

My husband and I are traveling to Alaska and stopped at Tom's B&B. It was a great change of scenery and excellent hospitality. The breakfast they made was delicious and I would recommend this to place to everyone who enjoys friendly company.

We found Tom's B&B with no problem, GPS guided us with no problems. It is a very beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very accommodating. We brought our Grand Daughter and she was very welcome. Breakfast was very good. Overall enjoyed our stay!
